Excellent positions for Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in the CHE University Ranking in Economic Sciences

In national comparison, JGU is rated above average in the "Supervision", "Overall study situation", "Exams", and "Study organization" indicators

Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) is excellently placed in the current CHE University Ranking, published in the new ZEIT Studienführer 2020/2021. This year, the ranking focused on the field of Economic Sciences, among others.

The CHE University Ranking has been published since 1998 by the CHE Centre for Higher Education. For the current survey, more than 300 universities and universities of applied sciences in Germany and Austria have been examined. The JGU Gutenberg School of Management and Economics took an active part in this year's survey. The CHE University Ranking does not compile a classic ranking, but rather classifies the compiled key figures into top, middle, and bottom groups. Included are the results of a student survey as well as data from the university, from which indicators in the "Academic studies and teaching" and "Research" modules are formed.

The student survey places Economics at JGU in the top group for four ranked indicators. In national comparison, JGU is rated above average in the "Supervision", "Overall study situation", "Exams", and "Study organization" indicators. Mainz University also achieves very good results with other indicators in die "Academic studies and teaching" module. In terms of the indicators "Support for study entry phase" and "Graduates in appropriate time, undergraduate degrees", Economics at JGU ranks among the top national group.

Furthermore, Business Administration at JGU scores above average for the research indicator "Publications per professor" in national comparison.
