JGU achieves an outstanding fourth place among the nine German universities ranked in the top 100 universities worldwide

The 2018 Reuters Top 100 – World's Most Innovative Universities ranking names Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) as one of the 100 most innovative universities in the world. Mainz University achieves a very good 72nd place among the 100 most innovative universities worldwide. Compared to the 2017 ranking, JGU thus improves by 19 ranks. In national comparison, Mainz University achieved an outstanding fourth place among the nine German universities in the top 100.
Reuters Top 100 – World's Most Innovative Universities is a university ranking of the Thomson Reuters media group, which has set itself the goal of identifying the world's 100 most innovative universities from a pool of 600 research institutions based on, in particular, patent applications of the universities as well as their success rate.
