Max Planck Institute of Biophysics, Goethe University Frankfurt, and Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz jointly offer structured graduate program

PRESS RELEASE OF THE MAX PLANCK INSTITUTE OF BIOPHYSICS
The Max Planck Institute of Biophysics, Goethe University Frankfurt, and Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) have launched their new International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) on Cellular Biophysics. IMPRS constitute an important cornerstone of the Max Planck Society's effort to promote PhD students. Hosted by Max Planck Institutes and local universities, these international PhD programs are designed to train excellent scientists of the future.
PhD students from the life sciences are invited to join the new International Max Planck Research School on Cellular Biophysics (IMPRS-CBP) to pursue the school's mission, i.e., to understand how complex subcellular architecture is created from individual molecular functions that act in concert.
This structured graduate program stands out because it starts with a lab rotation: students can visit three different labs before they decide on a research group. In addition, an extensive offer of workshops and courses ensures the excellent training of young researchers beyond their work in the respective projects.
